Built on Safety and Trust

We adhere to all safety regulations and lead the way in safety. During the permitting process, we actively seek input from residents and local environmental organisations to improve the ecological and spatial design.

What is energy storage and why here

A battery park stores and provides energy when it is most needed. It stabilises the electricity network and supports renewable integration. The location is chosen close to a key substation — essential for both safety and efficiency, ensuring maximum impact on grid stability.

Safety and environment

PGS 37 is a Dutch safety regulation designed for battery parks, created together with the fire department. S4 Energy applies this standard to all new sites — even before it became mandatory. In addition, electrical equipment meets international safety standards that minimise risks and limit potential consequences.
[TO BE ADDED] → Verification by technical expert of exact safety standards beyond PGS 37.

Governments Communities

Local benefits

Battery parks stabilise both local and national energy supply. In some cases, nearby companies gain improved access to the grid thanks to the battery park. Around each site, an ecological zone is created to support local flora and fauna, maintained by local contractors whenever possible.

Documents and permits

Publicly available materials may include the participation plan, reports from community meetings, a process overview, and a general Q&A about battery parks. Detailed safety reports will remain internal for security reasons.
